OPEN HOUSE AT KEW NEIGHBOURHOOD HOUSE LEARNING CENTRE
Join us on Friday, 24th November, as we open the doors of the Kew Neighbourhood Learning Centre (KNLC) to celebrate a significant milestone – our 40th anniversary! From 4.00pm to 7.00pm, we invite you to our Open House event, where we’ll be celebrating 40 years of passion, dedication, and innovation.
Over the past four decades, the KNLC has been a beacon of community learning, offering various programs designed to cater to the diverse needs of our community. We’re immensely proud of the journey we’ve taken so far, but we know we couldn’t have done it without the support and enthusiasm of our community members. This event is as much a celebration of you as it is of us, and we can’t wait to welcome you into our home.
This won’t be your average Open House. We’re pulling out all the stops to make sure this is an event to remember. Our friendly tutors will be on hand to chat about our programs and answer any questions you may have. Get a taste of the fun, engaging, and supportive learning environment we offer at the KNLC.
But it’s not all about learning! We’ve got plenty of fun activities lined up for the afternoon. If you’re an animal lover, you’ll enjoy our petting zoo, where you can meet and interact with a variety of adorable animals. For those who love shopping, we’ve got market stalls selling a variety of goods. Who knows, you might just find the perfect early Christmas gift!
Feeling lucky? Enter our raffle for a chance to win some fantastic prizes. And of course, no celebration would be complete without some good food and drink. Our Sparechair café will be serving up delicious food, wine, and cocktails, as well as live music to keep you entertained while you mingle and enjoy the festivities.
Whether you’re a long-time supporter of KNLC, a recent member, or someone just curious about what we do, we’d love to have you at our Open House. It’s a great opportunity to learn more about our work, meet our team, and have a great time while doing it. So, mark your calendar and come celebrate with us. We can’t wait to welcome you to our home!

? FROM OUR FAMILY TO YOURS…MERRY CHRISTMAS ?
To our wonderful KNLC community,
We would like to take this opportunity to express our sincere gratitude for all your support throughout this trying and turbulent year. 2020 has tested us in many ways, but it has also taught us so much! Words and phrases such as resilience, adapt, social distancing, isolation, quarantine, lockdown, zoom, teams meeting, virtual drinks and everyone’s favourite phrase “you’re on mute” quickly became our way of life. We pushed through all of it and here we are on the cusp of another year. We wish you all a very Merry Christmas and may 2021 be filled with courage and hope! We leave you with these inspirational words from former first lady Michelle Obama
“You may not always have a comfortable life and you will not always be able to solve all of the world’s problems at once, but don’t ever underestimate the importance you can have because history has shown that courage can be contagious and hope can take on a life of its own” – Michelle Obama
Our centre is currently closed and will re-open WEDNESDAY 20 JANUARY 2021
