Our centre is currently closed, with office staff working from home. This closure comes because of updated Federal government information instructing all non-essential services including Community Centres to shut down.
We are currently in the process of transitioning all viable courses onto an online format. A viable course is one where we have minimum numbers enrolled for next term. It is our preference to have as many courses continue online and off site. This will enable us to stay connected with our members but also to provide employment to our tutors. The method for delivery of our online courses will be through a platform known as ZOOM.
We are currently working with our tutors and hope to have as many classes on line at some point in term 2. If you have been considering enrolling for a class I would strongly urge you to contact us at email@example.com . If you have enrolled in a class, we will be in touch shortly to discuss if the class is proceeding and what you will need to do to link in. For those courses that are not continuing, and where payments have been made, we will carry forward those payments unless a refund is specifically requested. Thank you to all our members that have supported us and continue to support us throughout this time.
From Thursday March 26, our Centre will no longer operate. Please note we are not closing down we are running the Centre remotely. You can continue to contact us by phone or email on the existing contact details you have.
The cafe will continue to provide take away coffee and meal options. A number of measures have been put place in order to sustain this. We absolutely appreciate the effort of the community in supporting this social enterprise, the response to the distancing measures has been overwhelming but so too the number of members picking up pre-cooked food for nightly meals. We are grateful for this and hope you can continue to support this enterprise.
We will continue to connect with you through our social media sites as well as through our webpage, please check these sites periodically as it enables us to engage with you. We are working behind the scenes to find innovative ways to stay in touch and hope that connection will at times bring a smile to your face as we try to get through this together – yet apart!
Please keep in mind that this is a difficult time for many people. If you wish to discuss anything at all, including just needing to chat, you can contact us through email at firstname.lastname@example.org in the first instance and one of our staff will be in touch.
Please stay safe and look after each other.
