Small Business Start-up

Taster in Floristry
Students will have the opportunity to learn theory and practical aspects. Each week you will be able to take home your beautiful creation.

Ukulele
Join our fun and encouraging tutor and learn simple chords and strums in our beginners class or continue to explore more complex music in our level 2 ukulele class.

Introduction to Horticulture
Learn about plant and tree cultivation, pruning, disease and pest control and garden management. It is taught by a qualified Horticulturalist currently working in the industry.

Introduction to Trades & Home Maintenance
Gain knowledge to carry out basic carpentry skills and develop skills to perform maintenance tasks on hand and electric tools. This course has been designed as a possible pathway into the building industry or further training at Swinburne TAFE.

English As An Additional Language – Pathway to Employment
A program designed to cater for people with English as an additional language wanting to explore opportunities to gain employment. Learn about resume writing, interview techniques, job seeking and submitting applications.
English As An Additional Language Non-residents
Practice your English speaking, listening, reading and writing, covering topics related to everyday life in a relaxed and friendly environment.
Courses run during school term $295 for non-residents/bridging visas.
$5 yearly Neighbourhood House fees for all participants.
